Beach Fun

Caleb got to go to the beach for the first time. We went to Savannah this past weekend for a mini vacation. We stayed with some friends in their condo on Tybee. Caleb loved the pool again and loved the ocean more. I don't know if it was because the beach had sand that he could eat-yum, yum, or the waves. He didn't cry until he was hungry and tired. This is a good indicator that our family beach vacation in October will be a great one!

11 Months

Caleb now at 11 months old

Our boy is growing by leaps and bounds everyday. Never did I imagine a love like this but it is truly a blessing.

WHAT DID I DO?

Well I had the great idea of getting Caleb's (5th) hair cut today, and Kwon's barber had been offering to give him a cut. I went in with the notion that he would trim it up and get rid of his 80's wings, but oh no he took the razor to his head and before I could blink his hair was gone.

BEFORE
AFTER

I was not planning on Caleb having a haircut like this until he was at least a year old. Well at least it grows fast. Should be looking a little longer by his birthday!

Erin's an Aunt

Erin welcomed her first niece last night, Emma Grace Rhodes. After 2 days of labor, Emma finally decided to make her debut. We are so excited for Erin and her family.

10 months old!!

Caleb is already 10 months old, weighing in at around 18.6 lbs. He can crawl, babbles nonstop, gets into everything, eats well (especially if it is something mommy or daddy is eating), and gives his mommy and daddy so much love. We can hardly believe it has been 10 months.

Caleb got so messy at lunch, he was stripped down to his diaper.

Letting him loose in his room, straight to the books. He loves to have books read to him.

Working hard at his workstation. Look how he stands on his tip toes, and if there is music playing he will bounce his bottom up and down. He now pulls himself up; before long we will be chasing him around.

Surfing on the boppy

I see something I am not supposed to have. Can I get it without Mommy catching me?
Got it!

Let me crawl over mommy.

No more pictures mommy. I have gotten a picture of Caleb every month on this quilt, however this month as soon as I got him on it he was off. Maybe the days of still pictures are gone.

Caleb in his playroom, or jail as I like to call it when I have house things to do. He will watch for me here and whine if I don't come back soon enough. We also play peek-a-boo here.

Cheese! One smile for the camera

Isn't he handsome

While in Savannah, Sarah snapped a few pics with her super duper camera. Need I say more.

happy 1st birthday audrey!

We headed to Savannah this past weekend to celebrate Audrey's 1st birthday. We had so much fun. We enjoyed spending time with her family, and we can't wait to see them again.

Pool Fun

Today Caleb got his first taste of being in a big bathtub (aka swimming pool), and he loved it. The water was pretty nice, but even on a sunny day my little munchkin began to get purple lips so we had to get out. I definately think that we will be spending lots of time in the pool this summer. Maybe he will even learn to swim forwards to make up for his backwards crawling.

I'm Standing

Look at me!

Happy 9 Months!!

Well as we have said before, time certainly flies. We cannot believe that Caleb is already 9 months old. He is mastering the backwards lobster crawl, can now go from a crawling position to sitting, his top left tooth broke the skin, and he is babbling up a storm. He is about 18 pounds these days and giving us a good workout when we hold him. He loves when we read him books, especially Engineer Small, and "Old MacDonald" is currently his favorite tune. He loves being outside as well as you can see from the pictures. We love to watch him as he discovers new things everyday. He is such a happy baby (unless we keep him out past his bedtime), and he loves to give his Mommy and Daddy love.

Chattanooga Choe Choe

We went to Chattanooga this weekend for Kwon to ride a 3 Mountain 3 State bike ride. Well after he started the ride in the pouring rain and a flat later, he decided to do a metric century instead. It was so nice to have Daddy home early because we were able to do a little site seeing. Caleb even got his first ride on a carousel.

For My Fans

Hello Everyone, I know it has been a while since I have updated Caleb's blog, so here you go with a few pictures from the last month.
My son, the little Linus
Don't you wish you could sleep this well!

Caleb-8 months old
I look like I am getting ready to crawl-I just like to go backwards instead of forwards.

A day in the park with Mommy and Daddy. Can't get any better than this.

Look no hands!

These pictures really don't do it justice, but Caleb can now sit independently. He can grab objects and maintain a sitting position without falling right over. He can balance himself now and even keep himself from falling over. Sorry for delay in blog posts, but we have had a busy 2 months. All these postings should catch you up on what Caleb has been up to lately. Tomorrow Caleb will be 7 months old. Again I will say how time flies..
