Getting Ready for Christmas

100 days old!

We celebrated Caleb turning 100 days old on November 25, 2007. In Korean culture, babies are considered 1 year old on their 100 day birthday (from the day of conception to the 100th day equals one year). Some of our friends and family came to visit and celebrate with us. We had rice cakes, fruit, and Caleb even got some money to wish him a long, sweet and wealthy life.

Our First Family Vacation

We headed to the North Carolina mountains this past weekend for our first family vacation. Caleb also took his first trip out of the state of Georgia. We even got a little snow on Thursday night! We had a very relaxing time at Juli Kaye and David's mountain home. The views were beautiful, and the mountain air always does a body good. We got some good food (cooked by Daddy), a few naps for Caleb and mommy, and some good quality family time. Caleb can't wait until February to see more snow in Tahoe.

What a difference 3 months makes!

We have had a great 3 months with Caleb, and the fun has just started. It still seems like just yesterday he was born. As you can see from the pictures below, he has changed over the last 3 months. He now talks to us in his secret language and has found his hands and more specifically his thumb. We have such a good time playing with him or really just watching him figure things out around him, and his smile will just melt your heart. We still continue to grow more and more in love with him each day- we never knew it was possible. We will continue to savor each day with him and celebrate every new thing that he shows us.

Time is flying.....Caleb is 8 weeks old

Caleb is already 8 weeks old. I look back at his birth pictures and can't believe how much he has grown. The benefits of a growing baby are more sleep for mommy and more playtime with baby. Caleb can now sleep anywhere from 3-6 hours at a time at night. And look at that smile-he lights up our days with that radiant smile.

We have been busy these last few weeks!!

Caleb enjoys playing on his baby gym. He can dance and move around with the music. He is so active now.

Bathtime
Still one of Caleb's favorite parts of the day. Compare to the earlier blog picture and you can see how much he has grown.

Sorry but I don't know how to turn the photos yet. Here he is watching his Baby Mozart DVD.
Bedtime
We have started Caleb's bedtime routine. Here he is with Daddy reading "The Runaway Bunny" before being put to bed. He has started sleeping 4-5 hours in a row now!! Mommy is enjoying her sleep.

Mommy (Rachel), cousin Rachel, and Caleb
We went to cousin Susan (8) and Rachel's (5) Birthday party on Saturday. They both share an October 2nd birthday. We had so much fun! Caleb wants to go back when he can jump around with all the other kids. It was Rachel's first time to see Caleb.

Happy 4 Week Birthday Caleb!

I can hardly believe it- Caleb is 4 weeks old today. I just want to freeze these moments with him. He has already captured my heart.

My favorite things:
#1) I love being able to cuddle him in my arms
#2) him making those sweet noises and grunts as he eats
#3) the way he can escape from the tightest swaddle (our little Houdini)
#4) the way he sleeps with his legs crossed and his arm by his face.
#5) the way he holds onto me as he eats or sleeps

He has started to watch us and follow us with his eyes, he is gaining better head control by the day, and I think that I might have captured a first smile (while awake) today. We have had a great 4 weeks with Caleb (minus the sleep deprivation); we are excited to see what each new day brings!

What looks to be a smile, maybe my first?

Mommy and Daddy Love Caleb

We could never imagine how much we would love Caleb. He has stolen our hearts and our love only grows deeper for him as the days go by.

Nap Time

And they sleep......

Boo comes to visit

Boo came to spend the weekend with me while dad was out of town at Rahul and Monali's wedding. She loves to talk to me and exercise my arms and legs.

Look how I have grown- I am 3 weeks old
